Respect

One part of the group has the money
But the other part of the group is beginning
To provide personnel
To keep the whole group functioning
And yet a polite lack of respect
Is constant through a subtle
Show of power, control and favouritism

We live it every day
And yet are not supposed to recognize it
Or comment upon it

The desire for control
Is broken at the cross
And shattered at the empty tomb

Yet we are drawn back into it
As the culture around us permeates
What we think and do

But we are called to freedom
