Ideas that morph and change

As another asks questions

And holds the ideas up to the light

To find what might really work

And so the journey continues

As the realization comes that

It is too early for Hope Bible Institute

Since we don't know if there are students--

But there is a niche for

Heritage schools joined with

ESL Bible studies

And help getting small businesses started

So a Resource centre could be born

That focuses on these known needs

Day Camp

What attracts to an all day event?

Is it culture or is it economics?

Is it the intensity of the event?

Or the memories it builds?

No Vacation Bible school this year

But a Bible day camp instead

So instead of two hours a day

It will be six

For five solid days

Suddenly people are interested

And willing to discuss a plan

Bible stories and music

Games and crafts

Memory verses and skits

All of which will fill five special days

This summer coming

Beach Day

Three days of heat led us to the beach

Yesterday

Warm sand and the view of water to the horizon

A circle of seagulls sitting in the water

Where the fishing boats dumped the catch

They could not keep

And an eagle circling overhead in the distance

Being watched by a stranger on the pier

Led to a chase through the countryside

As Andrew looked for the eagle's nest

He had glimpsed through binoculars

Facets of personality make up each one of us

Some to handle the practical day to day

Elements needed for food to eat

And clean clothes in the closet

But other strands open up our dreams

To make the heart soar high and free

As fierce as an eagle preparing to do battle

As delightful as the chickadee digging out seeds for dinner

Or as brilliant as the cardinal flashing colour in a dreary

London

Purple periwinkle in the garden

Sparkling water flowing in the river

Variety store emerging as a neighbourhood florist

Tea shops and schools of many brands

Miles upon miles of roads

Each element is so different from the others

Yet the individual pieces

The unrelated objects

Work together to be

This city called home

Writing

Writing time is varied

Letters, stories, journal

All find their moments

When I first wake up

Before the rush of day descends

Hawk

Perch on a high pole

Peer down for movement below

Dive for instant food

Photos of London

Seeing my city as a place to share

Is an interesting endeavour

As I post photos to Instagram

From my walks throughout London

A world waking up in spring

The buildings named in my story

A variety of components working

Together

To show off my home

Dreams

How can dreams have so many pieces?

Mine weave together so many different elements

Education, business, settling newcomers

And as time passes changes happen

Modifications occur

But no piece has truly been eliminated

So I keep moving forward

Wherever You lead my heart, Lord

Through writing, business ventures

And the founding of a school

We will see what adventure awaits
