stillness

as the sun drops

the glow reaches out with

a farewell in the sky pauses

in the dewy mornings and

sunburnt hours of the day

created for man

partner shoulder to shoulder 

in this walk called life

created beloved

with honour and dignity

flowing through freedom

out to wander in

the sun and rain as joy comes

emerging with hope

On a Tiger

riding a tiger

until stone crumbles beneath him

what are the answers

pale through thin clouds

sunset calls the city out

to remember this world

new life even now

as earth brings death prior

to winter's long pause

brilliant leaves shine

in the autumn sun today

a scarlet moment

fuschia for my heart

draws eyes from inside

into the shadows

make the spinner's work

visible

the wind blows through here

scattering a crisp carpet

colour fills the path

delicate shades glow

purple along the road sides

drawing me to peace

leaves still cling tight as

cool nights add a brilliant red

to mark the season

Marigolds

aroma fills space

to remind us once again

that music is fun

fire in the sky sinks

slowly into quivering 

water as the end
